TAS East Tennessee Collegiate Division Conference

9:00am – 4:00pm in the Lyceum

WSCC is the home for Tennessee Academy of Science's (TAS) East Tennessee Collegiate Division Conference.

The Natural Science Division is proud to announce that this year's conference will be held on April 12 , 2013 in the Lyceum from 9 am - 4:00 pm.

The Natural Science Division invites your students to present research papers or posters in the following categories:

  • Botany
  • Cell and Molecular Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Engineering & Engineering Tech
  • Geology and Geography
  • Health and Medical Sciences
  • History of Science
  • Mathematics/Computer Science
  • Microbiology
  • Physics and Astronomy
  • Science/Math Teaching
  • Zoology

This is a tremendous portfolio building opportunity for our students. It could also be an excellent opportunity for your students to showcase their curricular projects. If you have any students who want to present on topics outside these categories, please inform Dr. de Silva or Dr. Horner.

The winners of each category get a certificate from the TAS. The first place recipients get one-year memberships to the TAS.

Please contact for forms and format guidelines , or to submit your papers Dr. Eugene de Silva via email. The abstracts need to be submitted before March 15th.
