Associate of Applied Science in Clean Energy Technology
The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Clean Energy Technology is designed to train students who wish to enter the job market in selected areas of the clean energy field. The program emphasizes a background in core clean energy concepts, and allows students to choose a specific direction for their studies in targeted clean energy areas.
Technical Certificate in Clean Energy Building Technology
The Clean Energy Building Technology certificate is designed to provide instruction in clean energy as it relates to building and construction. Students will study the clean energy core certificate technologies, and will include course coverage of geothermal heating and cooling, biomass technologies, the LEED Core Concepts area, and LEED Green Building Design and Construction certification. This certificate is embedded in the Clean Energy Technology program, and students who complete this certificate may apply these credits towards the A.A.S. degree in Clean Energy Technology.
Technical Certificate in Clean Energy Building Technology Curriculum
Technical Certificate in Clean Energy Core
The Clean Energy Core certificate is designed to provide a foundation in clean energy and conventional energy technologies. Students will study clean energy technologies; the design, installation, and impact of energy efficient practices; current energy technologies; and planning, design, and integration of a variety of energy technologies. This certificate is the foundation for the Clean Energy Technology program, and students who complete this certificate may apply these credits towards other certificates in this area and towards the A.A.S. degree in Clean Energy Technology.
Technical Certificate in Clean Energy Electricity Technology
The Clean Energy Transportation Technology certificate is designed to provide instruction in clean energy as it relates to electric power production and distribution. Students will study the clean energy core certificate technologies, and will include course coverage of solar photovoltaic, wind turbine, NEC codes and standards, and smart grid technologies. This certificate is embedded in the Clean Energy Technology program, and students who complete this certificate may apply these credits towards the A.A.S. degree in Clean Energy Technology.
Technical Certificate in Clean Energy Electricity Technology Curriculum
Technical Certificate in Clean Energy Transportation Technology
The Clean Energy Transportation Technology certificate is designed to provide instruction in clean energy as it relates to transportation and the automotive industry. Students will study the clean energy core certificate technologies, and will include course coverage of biofuels, hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, electric car and battery technologies, and hybrid automotive technologies. This certificate is embedded in the Clean Energy Technology program, and students who complete this certificate may apply these credits towards the A.A.S. degree in Clean Energy Technology.
