TDOT is currently restructuring 25-E located in front of our Morristown Campus.
Major Traffic Pattern Switch on US 25E
May 17, 2013
TDOT has planned a traffic pattern switch on 25E for Friday, May 17. The switch will include moving the existing 25E northbound traffic over to newly constructed lanes adjacent to the current 25E southbound lanes. The map provided by TDOT (see below) indicates the new traffic pattern, which is denoted with yellow arrows. The lanes shown in red represent future routes once the project is completed in the fall of 2014.

Major Traffic Pattern Switch on US 25E
May 10
Please be advised that TDOT has planned a major traffic pattern switch on US 25E to occur on the morning of Friday, May 10. Signage will be posted indicating the new routes.
The traffic pattern switch will move the existing 25E southbound (toward I-81) traffic over to the newly constructed southbound lanes. Included in this traffic pattern switch will be the closure of College Park Drive to the Wal-Mart shopping center. All traffic to the Wal-Mart shopping center will use the existing Retail Road entrance.
Also, 25E northbound (toward Tazewell) traffic will not be able to turn left into the campus via the temporary college entrance (across from Zaxby's). Access to the campus from the 25E northbound lane will be at the College Square Mall road entrance. However, 25E southbound traffic will be able enter the campus by turning right at the temporary entrance. The temporary entrance will also be open for traffic leaving the campus and turning right onto 25E South.

South Entrance to Reopen
January 16
TDOT plans to reopen the U.S. Highway 25-E Morristown Campus south entrance/exit (located across from Zaxby's) this afternoon. It and the 25-E north (College Square Mall) entrance should both be open for the first day of spring-semester classes tomorrow.
Traffic and Parking Update
For the safety of our students, staff and visitors, every effort is being made to maintain traffic flow on the Morristown campus in manner that prevents prolonged delays for vehicles accessing the campus from the 25-E highway construction zone. Student lots D and E are currently available for parking near the tennis courts. However, it will be necessary during the first week of classes for students to travel past student lots Q, R and P and continue around the back of the campus to access student lots D and E. From time to time throughout the semester, Lot D may be closed due to construction. However, signs will clearly indicate that the lot is closed. For your safety please arrive early and anticipate delays.
Campus Entrances
There are two entrances to the Morristown campus from Highway 25-E. The new north entrance connects to the College Square Mall road from 25-E. Just south of this entrance at the next traffic light is another entrance. This one connects to the Morristown Campus perimeter road. So if you are traveling south on 25-E (toward I-81) then you can access the campus at the first two traffic lights on 25-E. If you're traveling north toward Tazewell then you can enter at either the second or third traffic lights.
