Cambridge ACT Test Prep
Overview of the Cambridge ACT Test Prep class includes up to a six-step process dependent upon course format. Below includes all possible steps.
Six Step Process
1. Diagnostic Testing and Assessment
An official test is given to students on the first day of class. Within one week, the instructor will receive data to guide the structure of the course. Instructors will receive detailed diagnostic reports on individual and classroom performance.
2. Basic Skills Review
Cambridge provides students textbooks which includes extensive basic skills review for all sections of each test.
3. In-Class Problem-Solving, Concepts, and Strategies
Students will learn how to complete test problems based on question frequency, difficulty, substantive knowledge, curriculum and alternative test-taking strategies. In addition, Cambridge provides Strategy Summary Sheets which further emphases the type of questions that students will encounter on their exams.
4. Practice Test Reinforcement
This step serves to reinforce both the basic skills learned in Step Two and the Cambridge test-taking strategies learned in Step Three. Students complete this step either in class or as homework.
5. Final Exam, Assessment Report, and Review
Students put into action what they have learned during the second test. This step measures the true impact of the Cambridge Test Prep. This step is used to analyze and plan future program changes.
6. Personal Study Plan
Based on the data from the post-test in Step Five, students and instructors collaborate to develop a personalized study plan.
