The Server Systems group participates in cross-departmental management of local and hosted-server systems, virtualized servers, virtual applications, knowledge base development, license negotiations, and license management, and departmental service level agreements (SLA). This group implements and manages virtual lab and virtual desktops services that support campus departments, faculty, staff and students at all Walters State campuses. The staff are involved in developing, planning, and implementing long-term and short-term goals, projects, and initiatives for all server systems. This includes server applications, directory services, storage systems, backup systems, security services, licensing, SLAs, and centralized computing facilities/technologies for all faculty, staff, and students at all campuses. The Server System group maintains a reliable, timely, secure, and responsive support environment for all local server and hosted systems.
