"Hands in Harmony" Featured in Catron Gallery

“Hands in Harmony” is the new exhibit in the Catron Art Gallery, located inside the R. Jack Fishman Library on the Walters State Community College Morristown campus.
The exhibit features the black-and-white photography of Tim Barnwell. The photographer has recently published a book of the same title. Both celebrate the individuals in craft and music communities in southern Appalachia. Barnwell is also the author of “The Face of Appalachia” and “On Earth’s Furrowed Brow.” He lives in Asheville, N.C. 
 This exhibit features 30 evocative black and white portraits combined with biographies. The exhibit continues through Feb. 21.
Admission is free. The Gallery is open the same hours as the Library: 8 a.m.-8:15 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 8 a.m.-4:15 p.m. Friday; and 1:30-5:15 p.m. on Sunday.
