Walters State Community College will offer a free pre-semester computer course for spring students. This class will make sure students start the semester with the skills needed to use a computer and to work with software used in the classroom.
The class will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 3 in the tutoring lab, located in room 107 on the lower level of the Student Services Building.
Students will learn the log-in process and how to do Internet searches. The class will also prepare them to work with eLearn, StarNet and StarMail, which are software programs used in classrooms and for registration. StarMail is the official way Walters State communicates with students regarding financial aid, grades and other matters.
No reservation is required.
