Community Education Offers Microsoft Classes

Walters State’s Division of Community Education offers classes in Microsoft Access, Excel and Word during February.

Microsoft Access 2010 Level 3 will be offered from 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. on Feb. 18 and 26 at the Walters State Greeneville/Greene County Campus. Students will learn how to query with SQL, advanced queries, macros and advanced macros, importing, exporting and linking with database management. The cost is $200 per person and includes the textbook. 

Microsoft Word 2010 Level 2 will be offered Feb. 21 and 28 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. This class covers the functions and features of the latest program, including styles and outlines, sections and columns, formatting tables, printing labels, templates and building blocks, graphics and managing document revisions. This class meets at the Walters State Greeneville/Greene County Campus. The cost is $159 and includes a textbook. 

Microsoft Excel 2010 Level 2 will be offered from 1-4:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 and 20 in the R. Jack Fishman Library on the Morristown Campus. Students will learn how to work with advanced formatting options, create outlines, create and apply cell names and save workbooks as web pages. The class also covers hyperlinks and sharing information via e-mail. Students will learn much more, including how to work with PivotTables and PivotCharts. The cost of this course is $175 per person.
