Improve your computer skills and learn how to get a job in February Workshops at the Tennessee Career Center in Talbott. The Center is an American Job Center.

The Tennessee Career Center at Talbott is located in the Alpha Square Shopping Center on West Andrew Johnson Highway. Workshops planned in February are:

•Ex-Offender Job Readiness Workshops – Feb. 4, 11 or 25, 10-11 a.m.
•Computer Literacy Mouse Practice – Feb. 5, 9-9:30 a.m. or Feb. 20, 1-1:30 p.m.
•Computer Literacy – Feb. 5, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. or Feb. 20, 1:30-4:30 p.m.
•Computer Literacy, Electronic Slides – Feb. 5 or Feb. 13, 1:30-4:30 p.m.
•Career Portfolio Development – Feb. 6 or Feb. 26, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
•Computer Literacy E-Mail Basics – Feb. 6 or Feb. 21, 1:30-3 p.m.
•Computer Literacy Internet Basics – Feb. 6, 3-4:30 p.m.
•Employability Skills, Series – Feb. 7 or Feb. 20, 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
•Computer Literacy, Electronic Spreadsheet – Feb. 7 or Feb. 19, 1:30-4:30 p.m.
•Job Readiness Series Basic – Feb. 12, or Feb. 21, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. 
•Computer Literacy, Electronic Publishing – Feb. 12, 1:30-4:30 p.m. or Feb. 26, 2-4:30 p.m.
•Navigating Social and Professional Networking Website – Feb. 13 or Feb. 21, 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
•Applications of Personal Branding – Feb. 14 or Feb. 27, 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
•Computer Literacy, Electronic Database Management – Feb. 14, 2-4:30 p.m. or Feb. 28, 1-4:30 p.m.
•Computer Literacy, Electronic Project Management – Feb. 19, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. or Feb. 27, 1:30-4:30 p.m.
•Computer Literacy, Internet Basics – Feb. 21, 3-4:30 p.m.

Classes are free to participants and funded through a partnership between Walters State Community College and the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Reservations are requested.

The center is part of the American Job Center network. The center includes a resource lab with computers, printers and fax machines that job seekers can use at no charge. Visitors may also receive information and services from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Tennessee Technology Center, Adult Education Program, Walters State Community College and Workforce Investment are available at the center. All services are free to anyone who is at least 18 years old.
