Walters State’s Division of Community Education will offer the Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) review course Aug. 15-Oct. 31.
The class is an in-depth review for the Certified Administrative Professional examination. The CAP, formerly called the Certified Professional Secretary, is an internationally recognized standard of proficiency and excellence for administrative, clerical and secretarial professionals.
“In today’s workplace, this designation can make it easier to find a job, result in higher pay and open doors for advancement,” said Dr. Nicole Cardwell-Hampton, coordinator of community education.
She said the CAP exam covers three main areas: office administration, office systems and technology and management. The class is timed to prepare students for the exam, which will be given on Nov. 2. Classes meet in the evening. The cost of the class is $280.
