Community Education Offers Online Courses, Too!

Learn new computer and workplace skills through Walters State Community Education noncredit classes.

The following courses are planned online and run Oct. 16-Nov. 20:
•Creating Web Pages – Learn how to create and manage your own website in this hands-on, six week workshop. The class includes information on graphic layout and text, with search engine information and marketing strategies also covered. The cost is $125 per person.
•Accounting Fundamentals – Increase your financial awareness while gaining a marketable skill! Learn the basics of double-entry bookkeeping while also learning how to analyze and record financial transactions, prepare various reports, do accounts receivable/payable, payroll procedures, sales taxes and various common activities. The fee is $125 per person.
•Introduction to Google Analytics – Use Google Analytics to measure and make the most of your website and digital media activity. The course guides students from setting up an account to getting the codes needed to track your webpage visitors. This class is $125. 
•Introduction to QuickBooks 2010. QuickBooks is designed for small to medium-sized business owners. The software is easy to use but provides a traditional approach to accounting. Set up a chart of accounts, reconcile checking accounts, create and print invoices and much more. The cost is $125.
