Walters State Plans Financial Aid Workshops
September 19, 2013

Walters State Community College plans financial aid workshops in October at area high schools. These workshops are planned for high school seniors and parents. Seniors have a chance to win a $500 grant to attend Walters State at each session.

 Workshops for October are:

•Chuckey-Doak – Oct. 8, 5:30 p.m.

•West Greene High School – Oct. 22, 6 p.m.

•Washburn High School – Oct. 24, 5:30 p.m.

•Gatlinburg-Pittman High School – Oct. 29, 6 p.m.

Students unsure about their college choice should attend, as information will be valid for every college. Information discussed will include the types of financial aid available and the financial aid application process: the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the Tennessee Hope (lottery) scholarship, state grants, Walters State Foundation scholarships and other forms of scholarships.
