Want to graduate on time? Walters State wants to help by offering you a look at exactly what classes you need to finish your degree or certificate – and give you a chance to win an iPad Mini!
Look for the Registration and Advising Tables Wednesday and Thursday on all four campuses to find out how close you are to earning your degree or certificate.
Advising staff will look up your personal degree information and let you know what classes are needed for your major. If you don’t have a major yet, advising staff can let you know how close you are to completing general education requirements.
You’ll also receive a printed copy of your degree status. This paper will make your advising appointment a breeze! If you’re close to graduation, you’ll know exactly what classes to take next semester so you’ll be walking across the stage at May’s commencement. If you’ve got a few semesters to go, looking at your classes from the degree perspective now will make it less likely that you take classes you don’t need and more likely that you’ll graduate on time.
Advising staff will be manning tables from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. In Morristown, tables will be located in front of the R. Jack Fishman Library and on the first floor of the Allie Bayless Doggett Math and Behavioral Sciences Building (MBSS). The exact location on other campuses hasn’t been determined yet, but will be added to this article when the information is available.
Every student who receives a printed degree evaluation will be entered into a random drawing for an iPad Mini!
