Planning to transfer? No need to spend time and gas traveling around the area finding out which college is for you. Attend Walters State’s Transfer Day this Wednesday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Nov. 6 in the College Center Lobby on the Morristown campus.
“Make this a priority,” said Melissa Duff, director of the Student Success Center. Duff is the initial contact person for students planning to transfer.
“If they have not made a decision, this gives students the chance to talk to several schools. Bring questions. Does the school actually offer your major? What type of financial aid is available? What about living on campus?”
Duff said representatives will also have info on daytime, evening, online and cohort programs.
Representatives will be on hand from the following universities and colleges: Austin Peay, Carson-Newman; ETSU, Hiwassee, ITT Tech, King University, Lee University, Lees-McRae College, Lincoln Memorial University, Maryville College, Milligan College, MTSU, Tennessee Tech, Tennessee Wesleyan, Troy University, Tusculum College, University of the Cumberlands, UT-Chattanooga, UT-Knoxville and Western Governors University.
Transfer Day not only gives you the chance to learn about other colleges – other colleges have the chance to meet with you.
