The Tennessee Career Center at Talbott, an American Jobs Center, offers free workshops to help job seekers find employment. The workshops are funded through a partnership between Walters State Community College and the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

•Computer Literacy, Mouse Practice – June 3, 9-9:30 a.m.
•Computer Literacy – June 3, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
•Jobs4TN Job Search Assistance – June 4 and 11, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
•Resume Lab – June 4 and 11, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
•Computer Literacy, E-mail Basics – June 5, 10-11:30 a.m.
•Computer Literacy, Internet Basics – June 5, 1:30-4 p.m.
•Job Readiness Series (resume development, interview skills and impressive applications – June 10, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
•Veterans Workshop – June 12 and 26, 9 a.m.-noon
•Computer Literacy, Electronic Spreadsheet – June 12, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
•Computer Literacy, Electronic Publishing – June 12, 2-4:30 p.m.
•Computer Literacy, Electronic Notes – June 17, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
•Computer Literacy, Electronic Database Management – June 17, 1:30-4:30 p.m.
The Tennessee Career Center at Talbott offers a resource lab with computers, printers and fax machines. Job seekers may use these at no charge. Representatives from many are agencies are located at the center. All services are available at no charge. Individuals under the age of 18 may receive services from the Smoky Mountains WIA Youth Council, which is also located at the Center.
