In an effort to fulfill Walters State's mission to meet the needs of individuals, the Office of Health Services provides a supporting and facilitating resource through which the wellness and safety of all students, faculty, and staff may be enhanced. Emphasis is placed on the promotion of health and well-being through educational programs and activities provided throughout the year.
The Office of Health Services also functions as a basic first aid station for providing care for minor injuries and illnesses with appropriate referrals made as needed. The Office of Health Services maintains a close working relationship with all campus resources including counseling service, faculty and staff, and members of student organizations in providing assistance to meet the needs of all individuals. The Office of Health Services also maintains a close working relationship with community agencies, organizations, and other institutions for providing consultation, programs, and referrals for treatment.
